John Silvester

John Silvester is an Australian journalist and crime writer who has also co-written a number of bestselling books with Andrew Rule, based on crime in Melbourne.

Some of their works formed the basis of the hit Australian TV series Underbelly. He also appears weekly on 3AW’s breakfast program as “Sly of the Underworld”.

Lachlan McCulloch

In a police career spanning two decades Lachlan McCulloch was commended for bravery, exposed police corruption, cracked heavy drug gangs and went deep undercover to infiltrate Australia’s most dangerous crime family. But his best years in The Job were spent on “The Street” dealing with the bad, the sad and the mad.

Andrew Rule

Andrew Rule is an Australian journalist who specialises in crime.

Starting at the age of 17, Andrew has worked for The Age, The Herald Sun and at radio station 3AW.

Along with John Silvester, he co-wrote the Underbelly series of books about crime which were subsequently adapted into a TV series.

Andrew is an inductee in The Australian Media Hall of Fame.

Charlie Bezzina

Retired Detective Senior Sergeant of Police having served with Victoria Police for thirty eight years. During this service worked in the western suburbs of Victoria both as a uniform member and a general duties Detective. After which transferred to various specialised Crime Squads.

Ken Ashworth

An “unsolvable” case isn’t something in Ken Ashworth’s vocabulary.

A Victoria Police veteran of 39 years and the recipient of the Australian Police Medal, Ken is no stranger to chest-to-chest confrontations with “good” crooks.

Having joined the force at 18, he was quickly thrust into Melbourne’s wild-west scenes of the 1980’s, and would make a name for himself for arresting and successfully prosecuting some of Australia’s most notorious criminals including Ray Denning, Russell Cox, and Lex Pierce; just to name a few.
